Puggles (AGES 2-3)

Puggles® recognizes the learning ability of 2- and 3-year olds by introducing biblical precepts at church and equipping parents to teach them at home. Toddlers love having their very own Awana club just like their older siblings.

In Puggles, children are welcomed each week with play time, songs and simple crafts and activities. Leaders present age-appropriate lessons using large, colorful teaching cards, finger puppet plays and more. Lessons teach and reinforce four basic biblical precepts:

  • God Made Everything

  • God Saw That It Was Good

  • God is Love

  • Give Thanks

Special take-home cards that correspond to each week’s lesson help parents nurture their child’s faith at home. Participating in Puggles will give your child a head start on the path to loving and following God for life.

Many churches also use Puggles as a Sunday school nursery program and with Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS®) groups.

Parents are the primary spiritual influencers in a child’s life.

They have the awesome responsibility to guide little minds to big truths. Puggles take-home cards let parents reinforce the week’s lesson with Scripture reading, a parent plan and simple activities for five days each week. Use them at the park, during meals or at bedtime to reinforce biblical truths every day.

Awana Puggles Program Curriculum Outline

The teaching for the Awana Puggles program is built around four precepts: God made everything, God saw that it was good, God is love and give thanks.

The four precepts are spread across 32 teaching cards for lesson times. These large, colorful cards illustrate a simple lesson for toddlers to understand. Each week features a theme around one of the precepts and related core verses: Genesis 1:1, John 1:3, Isaiah 42:5, Genesis 1:10, 1 John 4:15 and Psalm 105:1. Take-home cards help parents reinforce lesson concepts in simple ways throughout the week. They also encourage the whole family to learn about God together.

The Puggles attendance chart and stickers add extra excitement to club night!
